Now in its seventh year, the Fujifilm Site Unseen Collections have clearly discovered a plethora of outstanding talent in the field of photography. So much so, that some students whose work has featured in previous editions of Fujifilm Site Unseen, have since progressed to become well respected professional photographers throughout Australia.
After the initiative was first started by Western Australia’s Mt Lawley TAFE in 1998, the concept expanded to include all tertiary campuses in the State that offer photography courses. Fujifilm Site Unseen has now gained such popularity as an annual event, that for the first time it has become a National initiative which tertiary students from around Australia are able to participate in.
With more than 1000 entries received for Fujifilm Site Unseen 06, it is encouraging to see how much enthusiasm the project attracts from photographic students. The opportunity for those students who were selected to have their images published in this Collection is a testament to the gifted talent of these aspiring Australian photographers.
Further, this showcase not only represents an outstanding sense of achievement, it provides an exhibiting platform for students who are keen to pursue their creative passions in this area.
Fujifilm has proudly supported Site Unseen since its inception, and we are thrilled to see how a small initiative has evolved to become such a renowned National project that is gaining momentum among promising professional photographers.
Fujifilm Site Unseen Collection 06 is a delight to view and deserves a presence on any coffee table.
